About

Me

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and over the years it has grown into a passion and now a business. My first experience with cameras was when I was a little boy. My father had a tall boxy twin-lens-reflex which you held at waist level and peered thru an open top LOL. It was fun … I remember being fascinated with the knobs and levers. And we’d play pretend without the film (it was very expensive back then). When I grew up, my first camera was a point-n-shoot film camera with a zoom lens … an automatic idiot-proof camera LOL.

Soon enough, I bought my first 35mm SLR, a Canon AE-1. In 2005, I went digital and now I shoot with Nikon DSLRs. Don’t get me wrong … I’m not a gearhead and I’m not going to bore you with my tools. They’re just tools anyway. What matters most to me is the image … your image.

Unlike other creative endeavors … music, literature, dance … I believe photography is the only one that immortalises a moment. Some may argue that video does that too - but IMHO there is something magical about that split second in time when the shutter clicks and the image is made…
